Custom Fire Extinguisher Covers at Hotel Gabrielli Venice

Following an extensive restoration, Hotel Gabrielli Venezia – Starhotels Collezione reopened on August 25, 2025 as a refined 5-star destination on the prestigious Riva degli Schiavoni, just steps from Piazza San Marco. This 14th-century Venetian palace, long owned by the Perkhofer family since 1856, begins a new chapter blending timeless elegance with contemporary comfort.

Overlooking the lagoon and the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, and home to one of the largest private gardens in Venice (600 m²), the Gabrielli offers 66 rooms and suites, including a Presidential Suite with a private rooftop altana. The renovation, led by Milanese designer Andrea Auletta, preserves Murano chandeliers, Istrian stone columns, and coffered ceilings while introducing refined modern touches in a discreet Grand Tour spirit.

A Landmark Reimagined

Now part of the prestigious Starhotels Collezione and a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, the Gabrielli embodies Italian craftsmanship and cultural heritage. Guests enjoy the intimate restaurant Felice al Gabrielli, the K Lounge Bar, the panoramic 150 m² Terrazza Gabrielli with 360° views over Venice, and a Venetian Spa featuring marble finishes, sauna, hammam, and private wellness suite.

28 Cintro Cabinets in Custom “Pearl Gold”

Within this exceptional architectural setting, fire safety integration required a solution aligned with the palace’s aesthetic refinement. The project team selected 28 Cintro fire extinguisher design covers by DesignFeu, all finished in a bespoke “Pearl Gold” coating to harmonize with the hotel’s luminous interiors and restored decorative elements.

In addition to standard formats designed for 6L / 6kg and CO2 2kg extinguishers, several units were produced on measure for CO2 5kg extinguishers, ensuring perfect dimensional integration without compromising design coherence.

Design, Compliance and Craftsmanship

Manufactured in aluminium and wall-mounted, Cintro features a minimalist cylindrical silhouette and a lift-off cover system allowing quick access while maintaining a clean visual presence. Integrated signage options ensure regulatory visibility while respecting the hotel’s refined aesthetic.

The custom Pearl Gold finish echoes the warm tones of Murano glass chandeliers and historic detailing, allowing safety equipment to blend seamlessly into corridors and common areas. Rather than appearing as a technical afterthought, each cabinet contributes discreetly to the overall architectural harmony.

Safety Integrated into Venetian Heritage

At Hotel Gabrielli, every detail reflects a balance between heritage preservation and contemporary luxury. The integration of 28 bespoke Cintro cabinets demonstrates that even mandatory safety equipment can align with the standards of a landmark 5-star palace.
